I was having a think earlier this morning about emotional moments I've had as a fan of Manchester City, but only moments that have happened outside of the 90 minutes of a game. So crying after Aguero's goal or after Dickov's goal doesn't count.

For example, the day of the QPR game I arrived at the Etihad very early due to excitement - I didn't want to miss a moment of the game - and I was early enough to see a video played on the big screen. It was the video the main site briefly ran, which featured the 90 goals we'd scored during the 2011-12 season before the three goals we scored against QPR.

The video was accompanied by Fleet Foxes' 2011 single 'Helplessness Blues':

And as the two played together, I sat there and remembered how terrible we'd been when I started watching us and that we were on the brink of becoming the best team in the country. I couldn't quite understand how we'd transformed so much in such a short space of time.

The sun was shining, we were a win away from winning the Premier League and I felt immensely proud to be a City fan. I felt a lump in my throat and had to smile to hold back the tears.

And every now and then, I feel sad that I'll perhaps never feel that way again. Winning the Premier League this season will feel like job done, rather than expectations exceeded. I'll be incredibly happy, and I will shed a tear if we do lift the famous trophy after the West Ham game on May 11th. But I won't bawl like a child like I did against QPR.

But enough about me, what are your most emotional moments with Manchester City that took place outside of the 90 minutes of a usual game? Did you get engaged on the pitch before a game or something? Let everyone know!

I don't know about emotional but running the gauntlet outside the Britannia Stadium in 1998 after the game was err...different. It was only when we finally made it onto the train that the enormity of our relegation to the third level of the game began to sink in. Then the emotional moments began.

Sitting on the Kippax terrace after Luton beat us and sent us down was the pits.

But for sheer emotion, it was the Kings comeback game v Newcastle

After Lakey was stretchered off - dead or alive we did not know - against Leicester, all around me on the Kippax was tense, random people shouting out ''fucking tell us what is going on'' etc.
At half time the tannoy message informed us he was all well and on his way to hospital as wave of relief and emotion poured out around the ground.

Also seeing Big Mal's coffin being driven around the ground on the way to the cemetery......

That day against Leicester with Lakey was horrible. Never heard Maine Road go as quiet as that before.

When Yaya scored against Stoke followed by the final whistle was pretty special. Took me 34 years to see a bit of silverware being lifted knowing that this would be the first of many...... Special times we are in at the moment ( and the foreseeable future).

When Goater was substituted in his final game for us in the final match at Maine Road. The first of a few emotional moments of that day.
