“If you’re watching on the telly you’re a c*nt” has absolutely nothing to do with empty seats and games not selling out. It was first sung more in jest than anything else at Juventus away in 2010 - another dead rubber that was a sell out in the away end - and it’s been kicking around in a minor way ever since. I think Scall who used to post on here was responsible. Me and my mates are always winding each other up with it - if I’m not going to a particular away game, for example, I’ll tell them that I’m being a c*nt as I’m watching it on the telly and when I started it off at Burton the other night, it was done more as a dig at my mates who weren’t there than anything else, but these days it’s also a nod to all the City-haters who tune in to our matches.
Talking of wind ups. I hope you don’t spill any of that Bacardi and Coke mate!
