Emyr Huws on loan to NTFC

Nice lad - was in digs at me mams.
Had some shit early on with FA residency rules and then some niggling injuries, but he has put in a string of good displays for the EDS and good to see him coming good.
Will no doubt toughen him up and open his eyes at that level, but will be good fro his development.

How do you pronounce his name, is it Emeer Hughes?

I'll be able to get regular updates as a lad I work with is a season ticket holder at Northampton

Sounds about right, Hughes is just an english spelling of Huws they say.

Whenever 'Northampton Town' and 'Cobblers' appear I immediately think of bone hard pitches, a few blades of grass in the corners and a a leather ball that constantly bounces over the cross bar!

Or as my Northampton Town supporting colleague says, "Whenever George Best is mentioned and a clip shown, it's always of when he scored a bag full v Northampton in the FA Cup"

My missus' family are from Northampton originally, so been to see the cobblers a few times.

As long as Emyr has two legs, he will get 90 mins each week, they are that wank.

I also now live in Northampton and have had the gross mis-fortune to go and watch on 2 or 3 occasions in the last few years.

Firstly, my comiserations to your mate who is a season ticket holder there.

Secondly, I will re-iterate the post above - if this lad doesn't get a game for them, not only will it not be a good sign for his footballing career, but he should probably also be put down.

They really are that bad, bless them.

He may not have 2 legs after a few games down there

I'm nearby in Rushden, not sure paying to go see the shambles that is the cobblers is worth it to see the lad but might head down to give him some support.
