End of season parade in Manchester?

What a great idea , then we can thank our key workers in person, police, horses, ambulance drivers, nurses, doctors and in more serious cases of stabbing + gun shots our hard working surgeons, bravo .
That's what I was thinking. Normally we win a trophy, the end of season open top bus just happens. Will it happen this season?

If it does City, with thanks to Manchester and everyone who makes Manchester such a great City

I know it's not over but it shouldn't stop us meeting on the streets in the open air. Restrictions on open air activity are to be lifted on 17th May
The Streets are open now, maybe you should go and have a nice walk in the sunshine, may do you good.

Seriously?

I changed the topic because I really wanted an end of season event and regreted the MAn Utd element. I wanted something more than the usual City thing though because of all that happened.

If that is the type of reaction to suggestions, don't worry I'll ban myself.
Invite Liverpool fans then. They missed out last year.

Another fucking stupid thread along with the quadruple bullshit.

We still might win fuck all.

No trophies have been one yet. But I think we should make it clear to Manchester and Manchester City that we would like to mark the end of this season with an event in Manchester, maybe with added significiance given the past year. Invite some wider people with a manchester connection, and maybe a healthworker or too to take the applause on behalf of all. A moment to remember. A moment to think of others. An event to thank the players. And something hopeful.

When we look back at this season and it hopefully end with Manchester City as Champions, I would like a communal event where City win the trophy that I can carry with me.

I would like City fans to support this idea so MCFC and MCC know the importance of this.

I am sorry I deleted the original subject about making it a Manchester (even Utd event) because I thought this subject was too important for that. Please take this P'ss about that. That's fine. But please can we also stress the importance of having one end of season event in Manchester?
You need another hobby

There's a few on here who I'm sure start threads for the sake of it for some reason. I was thinking of starting one about which match had the most occasions when players had to re-tie their laces as an interesting comparison to some of their threads.

Is this a record for number of times a thread title has been changed?

The parades are pretty boring an could well live without one if we manage to limp to the title given the circumstances.

Wonder how many people are at the protest at 3pm today?

Perhaps I am on my own but I wouldn't mind at all seeing Alex Ferguson, and even Red Nev. I am happy to share Manchester with everyone for one day at the end of the season but more than anything we need to see the Premier League trophy from an open top bus at the end of the season. And if that happens after this season, surely it takes on more meaning than usual?

It would for me. A lot of City fans have died this season. A lot of Mancunians too. I think the end of this season needs marking. And we need a statement for the future. Maybe an event to draw the line under this year.

It's nearly the end of April. If we are going to do this, we have to make it clear it's happening.

We need a statement from the club that if City win the league title, Manchester City Council and MCFC will organise a bus-top parade in Manchester for the City of Manchester.

Can we all agree in that?
If Rangers and Celtic do it in Glasgow then I will be ok with Manchester doing the same
