Endoscopy

Wait a minute, you mean they don’t put you out?? That seems nuts.

The same guy that did my colonoscopy did an endoscopy about 8 months later. He told me he could have done both at the same time.

Almost glad I didn’t because the anesthesia is fucking mint!!!
I hope he washed the camera before he put it down your throat:-)

I imagine it tastes fucking horrendous once it hits your throat
It tastes like over ripe bananas !! The plus side of the spray is that once it’s done , takes about 10 mins your free to go and resume your day as normal no side affects - the sedation limits what you can do for 24 hours - I’ve had spray on two occasions no issues at all

If it were the same camera, I would have known fuck all about it. You feel the warmth of the anesthesia going into your vein and the next thing you know you are waking up…like I said it was divine!!

I had an Endoscopy about 6 years ago, opted for no sedation but the numbing spray made me wretch. However it's just a few minutes of being uncomfortable and as soon as the camera is down the throat the worst is passed. The nurse said to me afterwards "go home and put your feet up" I told her I was off to the pub for a drink with my mates.

I got the results straight away, I'd been on Asprin for nigh on 30 years along with other meds for my heart arrhythmia, the Doctor called it "asprin abuse", I'd developed a mass of very small stomach ulcers. He told me he'd contact my GP to recommend taking me off the Asprin which he did and I've not had any adverse reaction.

I think going back 30 odd years anyone who suffered heart problems was given Asprin, it's not a drug for everyone and can have complicated side effects.

The upshot is, the procedure is uncomfortable but only for a few minutes, not worth getting stressed over, it soon passes, I definitely wouldn't have the sedation, without it you are in control of your feelings.

I had a camera shoved up my dick and i can honestly say, it really fucking hurt

Good luck Roy
Stay positive and we're all with you wishing a positive result
You must be a real wimp. I had a knoboscopy every 6 months after having my kidney removed. There was only one occasion out of about 8-10 that it was anything more than a bit uncomfortable. The thought of it is actually the worst part. Good luck to the OP that it isn't anything serious.
