Enduring football myths & clichés

City fans are desperate to start a rivalry with Liverpool.
(Preaching to the conversation, I know but... it was match-going Scousers who celebrated as both Yaya and Ederson were stretchered off and Liverpool fans who wrecked two City buses but mentioning this constitutes being desperate to start a rivalry).

It's every little boy's dream to play at Old Trafford (it wasn't fucking mine).

Arsenal are paragons of dignity and virtue.

City are doomed as soon as the sheikh gets bored.

Liverpool fans - "well known for being fair minded & sporting".

Newcastle & Sunderland fans - "they know their football up there in the North East"

Mark Hughes -"my teams are always stronger in the second half of the season"
