If thats the case then why put henderson on standby?

The whole thing is a fucking farce, the worst its been in my lifetime. Ive even had twats saying to me the midfield 3 should be parker, gerard and lampard! FFS!

Agree with most of the coomments on here, glad he doesn't go because when Ingerland get knocked out, he'll be the scape goat.

Gaz Baz deserves better, just like Micah.

What I'm finding particularly difficult to understand, however, is that Jagielka is tipped to be the one who replaces him in the squad. Am I missing something here? Maybe Beckenbauer Jones will abandon the position he is quite clearly the best in the world at and step up into midfield.

As sad as it is, this is the only way he'll actually get recognition, for not being there.

Gets slated if they lose when he plays, but when they lose and he's not there, they will say England missed him.

Complete joke that Parker is the only proper recognised defensive midfielder in a 23 man squad. Carrick should have gone.

Give Lescott and Jagielka 45 mins against Belgium and if they outperform Terry/Cahill then they should be first choice (never gonna happen). Looking forward to seeing P Jones get ripped by Hazard.

Funny that England could end up with a Gerrard-Lampard midfield again.

I'm baffled why Carrick is completely overlooked. He's not world class by any means, but hes head and shoulders above Henderson and Jones as a midfielder. I think he should be called to replace Barry.
Why bring another defender? If not a direct replacement like mentioned above, then bring an attacking player like AJ?
Sorry for Barry that he's not going but happy for City that one of our most consistent players this season gets a good rest ready for next yeasr assault on the quadrouple!!!
