I like the anthem.
It is short, sweet and slightly ridiculous in its wording. It shows that England, unlike some other pompous nations like the French, doesn't take itself too seriously, while the downbeat tune has just the right amount of gravitas for a nation which is not quite as important as it used to be.
Those who suggest Jerusalem or Land of Hope and Glory should read the words of those songs very carefully. They are absurd when applied to modern England.
