England squad announcement ...

Am i right in thinking this is a 32 man squad? And that when it comes to the actual world cup it will be reduced to 25?

Hopefully by then common sense will have prevailed and he will f*ck Cleverley and Smalling off.

I noticed Smalling is only one of three CB's in that 32 man squad but surely Woy would rather play himself there than Smalling.

Just a bizarre squad. 4 GKs, 5 fullbacks and only 2 centerbacks (+Smalling, but I honestly don't know what position he's less shit in)? Then people like Defoe, Cleverley, Townsend and Carrick, who haven't had a good game in months. Ashley Cole can't even get in a Chelsea team where he's the only leftback. I have serious doubts as to whether Hodgson actually watches any football before making his choices

He watches loads of football.............mainly La Liga though

I think this is a 30 man squad, we then name a "provisional" 30 man squad for the World Cup Finals, which is reduced to 23 when the "final" squad is announced.

I see nothing that says 'this squad will make it through the groups'. I think this is going to be the shittest World Cup for some time for us, which is saying something.

Same comments for the last World Cup and also the Qualifiers for this World Cup...He got us past both times

OK cheers mate. I think ill spend more of my time watching Spain and Brazil. No doubt there will be more City players in those teams :)

The following should be nowhere near the squad: Steven Caulker, Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker, Michael Carrick, Andros Townsend, Rickie Lambert and Daniel Welbeck, Chuck in Defoe as he is injured as well.

Do you honestly think that this squad could get us through a group that contains Uruguay and Italy? I'd be astonished if we made it through the groups.

I think there is more chance that we will finish 3rd on goal difference

Honestly, Yes.

Our first 11 is a strong team. a few weak areas in certain parts of the squad, same for Italy and Uruguay no doubt. It will be tough, but also tough for the others.
