why is it? he's only got pace, he played absolutely dire in the friendlies, he can't cross a ball, he couldn't beat his man, he kept falling over.

he's just overated, therefore all that capello didn't pick him which was right, it's not difficult.

if johnson would of made it, i reckon their would of been a backlash.

It is always a bonus for the club and player to be picked to play for his country but personally I wish none of our players were going to world cup I would have preferred for them to have had a good rest, report for training and be fit for the start of next seasons campaign which will be long and hard fought. Being on international duty I just hope none pick up any serious injury and to those progressing to the later stages of competition I just hope they don't burn themselves out or suffer too badly from upset if their country gets knocked out.
