England Thread - 2023/24

The only chance this cretin doesn't make the Euro squad is if he crocks himself. Sad for Ajax that this knacker is drawing the headlines for them nowadays too.

Not suggesting either of the three would be in my squad, but just goes to show how far Southgate has his head up his arse regarding Henderson now, that all 3 English center midfielders involved in Newcastle vs. Luton (Barkley, Miley, and Longstaff) merit a call-up ahead of Henderson based on form alone, not to mention they all playing in the PL - two of which played in CL this season ffs.

Longstaff scored twice, Barkley scored again and looked great, and Miley had a better overall game than Longstaff at 17! Gordon in the first half again showed why he should be already in the squad ahead of Rashford this season, as England best option for a pacey RW/ST.

Guaranteed pick for the squad.

Yep, and probably shoehorned into the team.

It was evident even 2 years ago he didn't have the legs anymore when coming up against a decent team.

He's 33, not actually that old. The dippers let him go at age 32, which tells you they knew he had nothing left to offer at a good level, nothing to do with age. Yet Southgate seems to think he's worthy of being at an International tournament.

That's what you get employing a manager whose only real experience was taking over a pretty decent Boro team and getting them relegated.

The Nations League seems to exist only as a vehicle for Waistcoat to improve his win percentage. It certainly benefits no f**ker else.
Personally i just dont see the point in it and have zero interest in the entire tournament.
Group B2: England, Finland, Republic of Ireland, Greece Just put England through now before a ball is kicked and save the pointless games

How the fuck are Scotland in League A?

Group of Deffo for Engerland again. They can't fuck this one up.

Two games with Eire will make the constabularies arseholes twitch and Gary Gummun and his mates hit the wank wall.

Jack Butland expected to get recalled to the next squad.

Might as well call up Hart as well.

Scary that if it happens, 30 years old now, and 6months in the SPL, and relegation with Stoke in 7 years.

Surely Trafford should be the next one called up from U21's to be number 3. Playing each week for Burnley, won Euros in the summer without conceding a goal, probably the best English keeper with the ball.

Just like Gordon being snubbed from Newcastle despite being one of the best wingers in the league, and playing in CL up to Christmas and player of the tournament for u21s - fucking zero pathway for England U21s if you're not at one of Southgate's preferred clubs.

Yeah, don't know how Ajax got in there! we've got a Skoda driver in charge of Ferrari!
