I've thought this about Rice all the time. Always seems to be ghosting to me, never wants the ball.

Not entirely sure what his function is compared to Phillips who is better in that position imo, is far more dynamic and probably better on the ball too.

Really positive first 15. Really flat afterwards. Mount foden and Kane not involved. The ball over the top down the left is bringing some joy but with the ball on the deck it needs to go to the right with foden rather than to feet with sterling where nothing will happen.

Sterling and Phillips been the best players.
