Re watching the full game now and first half was pretty even, but as the second half progressed and into extra time england totally dominated the game and played really well. Kane was superb, sterling is englands best player of the tournament by a mile, maguire, stones, walker and shaw all very good.

Grealish and Foden linked up really well and shows what a superb impact players coming on can have. Be great seeing those two playing next season together.

Enjoy it, its coming home.

denmark legs went after 60 minutes and they pressed the panic button far to early in bringing on the subs
fitness is going to be key in the final and italy have had to play 2 big teams and they did look leggy in the spain game

this could be the key for england we do look a little bit fresher and have a young squad and we still have 3 or 4 world class players on the bench

Is it?
I don't rate Southgate very highly as a manager,he clearly has some strengths, which are negated by his weaknesses, imo.

We all know he keeps his job whatever happens.
I'm guessing nearly everyone will be perfectly happy to carry on with his style of play and tactical nous come what may.
Win or lose Sunday.
You can say anything you like about Southgate but the proof is in the pudding. He's Englands second greatest manager already.

Sterling was clipped from two players whilst running at speed and people think it wasn’t a penalty?
Goodness gracious me there’s a few dafties knocking about Bluemoon.

the denmark player knew he clipped him. we have seen many times like last season when foden never went down fighting to stay on his feet and everybody moaned should have gone over and dived

Too much talk about the penalty. In the book it now says we won 2-1; end of! The Danes were good but England were the superior team for the vast majority of the match. The City boys were brilliant.

I've liked Phillips's performances but thought he struggled a bit last night. It would be harsh to leave him out - and I don't think Southgate will, as he seems to be very loyal and I'm sure he wouldn't want to crush the lad by omitting him from the final, but, he could justify putting Henderson in there instead as Phillips played the full 120 last night. A change could be justified on experience grounds and freshness, saving Phillips for the final 20, + extra time , if needed.

I thought Foden did more than enough to justify inclusion too, but, my impression is that his face doesn't quite fit, despite him being first choice in game 1. England didn't get a lot out of Mount. Saka neither, imho. But I have blue-tinted specs - Phil is number 1 choice on my team sheet every time for City - even above KDB. Will he get a look in at the start of the final?

It was a clear penalty. Both contacts would have been enough for a penalty individually.

Some of you think it's still the 80's.
It really wasn’t.

That was never a pen. Raheem felt a slight touch, and decided to fall over. I’m dissapointed that VAR didn’t overrule it, but not surprised though.

am not a fan of southgate and hate the setup route one football BUT results are all that matter to him
like in the last 54 years am still waiting for the fall. only this time we may taste the biggest pain of all losing a final
