Preparing a team for a major tournament..? Operate like a club with a squad of 25 players and organise for clubs in a decent league to play you. Play like a half decent Championship team and you could probably make it to a semi final.

All the international teams that I've seen play are crap. They all rely on a moment of individual genius or a lucky break. There is no cohesion and purpose.

I'll enjoy the WC but club football is miles better for entertainment and for the health of the game into the future.

but its not been like this since the beginning of time, italia 90 was one of the best world cups for me ever so whats changed probably nothing with the other top world countries so its just engerland and the mr boring manager they employ with the instructions at the job interview 'you will select united players fit or not'

It's a fair point but I still think the media are giving old Woy an easier ride. And will continue to do so, even in comparison to Taylor (and especially to McClaren and Capello).

England are dogwank, woy hasn't a clue, wellbeck is barely a footballer let alone an international. I had the good sense to watch Orange is the New black after about 10minutes of the second half. Had some nicely constructed lesbian scenes in it....delicately filmed by a crew obviously well versed in extracting the unspoken, yet moving, bond that two women can share in the confined world of prison.

Pure gold. It's comments like this that keep me coming back to BM.

For along time now i have hated the england team, its just players playing because of the team they play for and not for their form. Whey woy came in he promised to change this but has do what ever other england manager before him did. Its as if its some clowns sitting on the board of the FA say united liverpool & aresnal need to have players representing us & its in your best interest to pick the media darlings, like rooney.
Its come to a point where i hope england lose every game (with a goal by a city player, motm by Hart) and crash out of the tournament, just like the media hope we do in the CL.
I know its childish but the england setup needs a complete overhaul and actually have someone take charge who is not afraid of the media backlash of picking only in form players. So i will yet again be watching this WC wanting us to be knocked out in hope that the right man is put in charge.

Not sure it would matter who is in charge of this England squad, the standard of player Hodgson has at his disposal is as poor as i can remember.
