Of the players that matter, Foden and Grealish both looked sharp when they came on. Stones had good moments and a couple of poor ones.

Decent all round performance. Hard to judge really against Iran but you can only beat the team you're up against. A confidence booster if nothing else.

When it comes to VAR it is like encroaching, only given if it affects the play.

Maguire had zero chance of getting the ball.

When decisions on what constitutes a foul are so wildly inconsistent over the space of 90 minutes (116 minutes) you have to question the integrity of the officials. It STINKS.
