For those people whinging ad nauseum about Maguire, who do you play instead? I'm assuming Stones starts. None of you seem to like Eric Dier or Conor Coady, and Ben White has only played a handful of times for England, so it's asking a lot for him and Stones to suddenly strike up a partnership. Stones & Maguire is at least a tried and tested partnership - surely you want managers to stick to what works rather than going wacky and experimental in your very first World Cup game?

What is it that makes people lose their senses when it comes to Sterling?

There is not a single national team in the world where a player with 30 goals and assists in their last 30 international games would get dropped, let alone a player who absolutely carried his team through the first half of the last itnernational tournament a year ago.

Is it because people have decided it's Sterling vs. Foden? Is it because some people are still bitter he chose to leave? or is it just the same run of the mill stupidity we had for 7 years when he was here?
