Maybe if Southgate had belief in Foden like he does in Saka mount Kane Maguire and so on he would be more consistent! Bottom line Southgate doesn’t fancy him and why he never gets a run of games!
Foden doesn't do himself any favours sadly. He hasn't performed for england so far while his peers like saka and bellingham have. Also positionally its tricky because even though he potential is best utilised centrally, he is still unable to break into midfield at city so as long as that is the case he will not play in midfield for england as well.

Couldn’t disagree more. As Grealish has shown, operating at a top top club is much more difficult than at a club that never wins anything. If Foden played for Arsenal he wouldn’t be playing in front of a parked bus every week where you need to display elite technical expertise in order to find the breakthrough.

We didn’t always see the best of Foden last season but he was in and out of different positions, often operating in a central striker position which he couldn’t impact the game in the same way.

The idea that Foden hasn’t progressed since being a teenager is of course completely bullshit and shows a complete lack of understanding of the game we play.

You can't use Grealish as an Umbrella. Like it means it's the same for every player. If that was the case Sterling should be tearing it up at Chelsea? Jesus shouldnt still be the worst finisher in the league?
Also teams are parking the bus vs Arsenal this season

Saka is also better for England so what's the argument there?

In what way has he kicked on? He's the same player now as he was then, if anything his shooting has gotten worse and he dribbles almost a third the amount.
