I don't get those wanting him to play well, it's like as if they want the world to see him do well so that they can convince themselves he's a bit good. He's a good player, and he plays his club football for us. Tonight though he plays for Italy and if he's as good as he and many others think he is, he will hopefully get sent off after Lescott has wound him up too much and we will go on and win.

Enemy? United, City, Yeovil Town has fuck all to do with England. England is separate to club football. Just like Balotelli said; he is not teammates with Joleon and Joe tonight, he has nothing to do with them, he is not a City player, he is Italian and he wants to beat them.

Rooney is not a United player, Gerrard is not a Liverpool player... they are England players.

The players mean very little to me anyway. They just happen to play. They don't play for many years and they will be too old to play soon and will never play again. After this I will rarely, if ever, think about them ever again. How often do you ever give Graham LeSaux or Darren Anterton a thought ever in your life? But throughout your life you will always be English. You get up in the morning and you are English, you have a shower, have your breakfast, go to work, go to the shop, go home, have your tea, have a shower and get in bed and you'll always be English. But your bothered about some blokes who pull on some football kits for a few years during his life? You're happy to stand in the corner with all the bitter Rags and Scousers saying you all don't like your countries football team because it's the 'in' thing to do?
