He's been plying him so far and up on the right and Phil didn't show so far he is really good at inverting, so most of the times when he receives the ball he just passes it back to somebody else; playing back three he plays him deep in the pockets where he never receives the ball, or is covered by two defenders at least and then he is supposed to feed Kane; I just think him and Mount are screwed because both like a certain freedom in their game and they are actually squeezed by wingbacks when playing back three and then Harry starts coming back for the ball, there is almost nowhere to go for them. I think it is going to be Sterling-Kane-Saka up front and than middle five. Foden and Mount to start from the bench. Just my opinion.

I don't think so, but I base it on what I saw so far and where his team selection is going. Three CBs, two defensive MFs, two WBs, Kane, Saka, even Raz...it's just not going to happen with maybe only one position left. We just watch too much Pep, Klopp, even Tuchel and then forget we are managed by a manager who is a decent man and talks nicely, but is essentially the PL relegation manager.

Grealish play very well tonight. It's interesting that grealish seems to play better for England than city and foden seems to play bad for England and great for city . I have only see foden play well once for England that was when he played in central midfield against Andorra. Who are an awful team.

If Foden ends up as a central midfielder for City . Even Southgate won't be able to ignore him. That's Foden's most natural position with his passing range and ability to beat players. He could become the best midfielder in the world playing as a no 8 for City.

He would certainly influence games a lot more for England playing as a central midfielder instead of an attacker.

He's no right sided player, either.

We got to that final despite of southgate, not because. When it comes to the big games hes a way off.

I’m absolutely baffled how you can say you don’t think we have the players. We’re another top centre back short but other than that we’ve got very good defenders. In midfield an excellent young holding player in Rice. After that he’s just spoilt for choice with Foden, Sancho, Bellingham, Sterling, Grealish, Mount, Saka amongst others. We also happen to have one of the best number 9’s in world football.

With so much flair and talent it’s quite an achievement for Boregate to play in such a negative and rigid way. We’ve gone far in the last 2 tournaments without ever beating anyone you wouldn’t expect us to beat due to kind draws and some pretty poor opposition. In reality we should have very little to fear now in international football and should be looking to attack and entertain with Foden at the forefront of it.

Not sure there is a country with better options squad wise. His inability to win crunch games is shocking. Croatia and Italy were both very winnable and his management of those games was awful.

I think why Foden isnt at his best for England is because he has had years of training and playing with the worlds best manager and players. His brain works to quick for the English team mates
Grealish is still learning our way and looks abit slow and slightly of our game at City but fits into an England team !.
Once Grealish gets up to speed at City he wont be so good for England ;)
