A month ago we all would have described that performance as crap. We've been so utterly shit though that we're now happy with just crap and not diabolical. Foden has been a link but there's nothing on the left or upfront, Saka in behind is the one and only threat, get Gordon on the left for Kane and let bellingham and foden do a duel 10/ false 9 role.

I think we have played alright. Plenty of City games like this where we have had to wear the opposition down.

The difference being we have about 70% possession and 20 shots on goal whilst wearing them down

Phils dropped and linked some play well but he's offered fuck all in forward positions other than pass sideways... Just seems like he doesn't want to take a risk.

Shearer pointed out that they are making 2/3 passes then passing to Foden instead of playing it to him when first gets into space.
