Issue is the FA is run by fossils and non football people. I mean look at the comission they set up, Danny Mills, Howard Wilkinson etc, laughable.
There would also be more English players in the Pl and what used to happen was teams would buy young talent from lower leagues but now with FFP and the PL FFP and the fact after 1 season in football championship sides ask 8 to 12 million for thier young english players, is it any wonder clubs buy a more seasoned cheaper version from abroad.

And all this shit now about too many foreigners, i remember England being shit before the influx

A good win tonight and Italy too the table, qualify and probably don't give a shit if a England go out.

Would be an extremely poor way to qualify in any case, mask the issues and keep people like Gerrard in the team.

The media brainwashes fans into thinking England team are a top team. Before the start of the tournament on here it was all "the worst ever Italy team", "Uruguay's ageing legs", "Sterling's pace will rip them apart", etc. I agree that this isn't a vintage Italy team, and Uruguay are worse than they were in 2010, but they both have something over England: midfield. Midfield has been England's problem for years, I agree with what was said about Gerrard, by AucklandBlue. Henderson is a good Premier League standard player, but he's a workhorse, a grafter, not the kind of player that can dictate play, and keep hold of it in the centre. Put Gerrard and Henderson in midfield together, and there's your problem. Pace is a good quality, but when there's little space in behind, its easily nullified. I remember Johnny Giles once saying England are a brainless team, and he's spot on.

Spain the reigning champions , amazing team played two games and lost so there out, we played well both games - Uruguay should have been down to 10 men, Rooney hit bar and Gerrard was unlucky where the ball bounced off his head near the half way line ! The majority of these games are just decided on luck. Brazil first game v Croatia, disallowed goal shouldn't of been and a joke penalty decision. How many times have we been knocked out on penalty's over the years. Again luck. Were a decent side on par with about 20 other teams. It's a lucky dip.

Most of the bullshit comes from you. Anyone who doesn't laud Roy and his team, know nothing about football according to you.
Half of that side had trouble controlling and passing the ball for LARGE parts of the game. We have 11 players but have no
plan, we are all over the shop mainly and don't play as a team and that is fucking Hodgson's and his coaching staffs fault.

You're right. We're currently 10th in the FIFA rankings with both Italy and Uruguay ranked above us so it's no great surprise that we lost both games by a single goal. Doesn't mean we're shit, just that the rankings are probably about right. It would be a different story if we get beat by Costa Rica.
