Grealish was showy, because he was basically the only one making runs from deep. He caused quite a lot of problems because Austria's midfield couldn't keep up with him, couldn't read what he was going to do and ended up fouling him. It is pretty much his game though, and fans will latch onto the one who appears to be trying to create things. It wasn't every 2 minutes by any means, but he seemed to be trying.

It's possibly not a coincidence that he plays in one of the most contested positions in the team.

Saka looks handy going forward.

I do have to wonder what the going rate for such articles is in this world of hype, PR and clicks.

Many are not journalists in the true sense of the word. They 'own' space on newspaper websites and blogs which they shill out to agents/agencies....the content then becomes an advertisment rather than an individual journo opinion. The players. agents and established bodies generally control the narrative.

I didn't know this. But it doesn't really surprise me. I've attended games and afterwards come away with a totally different viewpoint from the journalists who covered the exact same game.
 
Grealish causes chaos to both opposition and his own team mates. His MO based on last night was get the ball in a deep position , run diagonally in any direction he can and hope someone trips him up to win a free kick. About 20% successful
 
That's why I'm no fan of Mings. He's like Pickford, a loud mouth who does rash things. He'll get caught out at this level, he can get away with it in the Premier League.
