With a couple of England games on the horizon, I was wondering who people would have in there best 11? England are stacked in certain positions and I'm guessing could look quite different. Remember to pick who you think should be in the best 11, not what Southgate would do.

Pickford

Walker
Stones
Dunk
Chilwell

Rice
Bellingham
Foden

Rashford
Grealish

Kane

I really wanted to pick Pope as the keeper but he's terrible with the ball at his feet and that will get found out sooner rather than later at International level. Pickford has never let England down so went with him ahead of Ramsdale.

Walker is still our best right-back for me. James is a sicknote. Alexander-Arnold is an amazing footballer but too much of a luxury. Trippier is also still a solid shout.

Not many people will opt for Dunk but I think both he would be a regular part of the squad if they didn't play for Brighton. A lot of people seem to rate Tomori highly but he's never really impressed whenever I've seen Milan play. Colwill is obviously one for the future.

I'd only go with Rashford if he was in one of his purple patches. Kane still deserves his place but I don't think there would be any drop off if we started with Toney as he also plays the lone striker role really well, and has much more mobility than Kane.

For me that's a really strong team and one that shouldn't fear any other International side.

Rushford had his purple patch.
He won't be having another because he is a very average player.

He's far better than "very average". He's way too inconsistent to be considered world-class. He blows hot and cold, but generally has a few months most seasons where he looks like the English Mbappe. For someone who plays out wide the majority of the time, and has been part of an average United team for years, his record of over 150 goals in just over 350 games is top class.

I'd hardly say 150 goals un 350 games is top class .......
And as you say he blows hot and cold and has a couple of good months a season.
I think that puts him in the.
Average bracket

That's not top class for ultimately a wide player? Don't be daft.

Average is someone like Leon Bailey.

Well if you think a player who kicks the ball and chases really quickly.
Mostly into a dead end is top class let's leave it at that.

Dunk and Chilwell? surely we must have better?

As for the others,yep,cracking team.

Dunk has been outstanding for Brighton, especially this season. Chilwell for me is better than Shaw if he could only keep himself fit. Whether Dunk can perform at International level remains to be seen, but he's head and shoulders above Maguire.

No, I think someone who averages better than a goal every three games for a wide player is better than "very average".
