English youth players at city

Just seen something on SSN about the england u21 players playing very few minutes in the prem and it mentioned that we didn't field and english player u21.

Was just wondering do we have any english youth players likely to make the break through?

George Evans in midfield possibly, he was in the England U-17 World Cup squad a couple of years ago. He's still only 18 although he did make the bench in Dortmund last season. He's probably about due for a loan spell to get some decent first team football.

Did they also mention the likes of Chelsea, Stoke, Wigan and, in a lesser respect, Swansea?

There's loads of others in and around the EDS. Ok we didnt field an english U21 but that doesnt mean they are not there.

we don't field many senior players for England either, but that's more because the manager doesn't pick them.

An England team could easily include Hart, Richards, Lescott, Barry, Rodwell and Milner but rarely involves more than one or two.

Is that City's fault too?

For last season Rodwell was technically under 21 (as he was still 21 at the start of the season).
