Enough is enough

I don't know if that generalization is entirely right, but the sentiment is. For years I have been getting my footy news from ESPNFC, regularly arguing with Craig Burley, and being appalled by their regular factual errors and pro-rag bias, but happy to read Marcotti's thoughts. But today's supposedly unbiased review of our match by Mark Ogden infuriated me.

Here's his piece: http://www.espnfc.us/blog/the-match...y-manchester-city-and-frustrate-pep-guardiola

Based on your post, I resolved to quite reading them, right here, right now. Fuck them.
Fair comment that. I now resort to simply watching the match. and I don't let anything sway me from my take on it. If my opinion doesn't necessarily toe the line - fuck it. I don't need a journalist to tell me what he/she thinks or how I should feel about the match, nor do I want them to second-guess the mood of our manager simply because he may be rubbing his head ;-)

It is seriously getting me down the constant negative media witchhunt and the idiots that fall for it. I have probably watched city live about 800 times and I had some twat at work in his 50s who has been to old Trafford less than ten times in his life talking about how empty it will be against spurs. It is simply boring.

the indoctrination is complete, that's whole point of the negativity, say it often enough and it becomes fact doesn't it??

City PR Department ........

Haha that would fit in with my idea for a movie

I agree steviemc ,but the problem is it's how the general football fan reading this drivel forms their opinions.
I have customers coming in spouting Anti City propaganda all day long because they've read about the Emptyhad or Sterling being a waste of money,or Pep cracking up etc etc
Not one of them mentions the fact that arguably the best young manager in Europe is managing John stones and Raheem Sterling ( England players)
Or the Academy,or enything else positive.
I inform them of the truth as I know it but it's getting too much when Leeds fans are coming in taking the piss.
Something definitely needs to be sorted out one way or another....and quickly,or our reputation/brand whatever you wish to call it will take years to recover.

Was just about to post a link to that Unibet article... he's bloody hit the nail on the head there as far as I'm concerned.

All too often it's just wrapped up too simplistically in the old 'conspiracy' tag, and shrugged off with "there's no agenda", "journalists don't just wake up and decide to write a hate piece on city", or "there's no such thing as media bias"...

This dude has nailed the systematic and purposeful things that have transpired and tied it all together. We all feel it, we all resort to opting out when it comes to listening to radio, commentary and reading the papers. I do anyway...

Till we embed some blue blood into the halls of power, the studios, and editors offices then nothings likely to change any time soon.

Oh, and Gill can f***king do one too the odious c**t! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, now breath!!!
