Enzo Fernandez

It seems him and the wife want the sun mate
That is true ..

I remember reading some quotes where he said that he had a plan to move to the sun on a 4 or 5 year big contract then arrive at benfica on less wages age 32 but him not getting a move at the right time has scuppered his plan. So it's move to the sun and arrive at benfica when your a bit older and passed it or stay at city then return home at 32 like he initially planned. It does leave a bad taste how much money comes into this decision. I couldn't see any European big club offering him a 3 year contract so what's he gonna do!

Dream scenario for me (unlikely as fuck though) no one comes in and we do a deal for Enzo with Bernardo and cash going to benfica that would cover his wages? Still plays champions league football, home with his family? No doubt we would need to give him cash as well but if he fancied it I reckon the club would do it

That’s plainly not true.

There are plenty of links across the sports media and in chatter from people with connections at the Club that Bellingham is a player City are very interested in.

You may choose to ignore those links, and say they lack credibility, but they are undoubtedly there in significant numbers.

There is literally nothing - unless I’ve completely missed all the links - suggesting any interest in a move to City from either the Club or the player.

Generally deals the size of Enzo to City are extremely difficult to keep under wraps, so do end up getting leaked.

The two situations are not the same.
you seem to have no idea how our club operates even when there are our own city+ documentaries showing exactly how it works. don't be ignorant.

first of all there is no concrete link saying city is all in for bellingham. the links say bellingham is one of the options city are looking at. but nothing saying he is our number one target.

besides if you need explaining our transfer board meets with txiki around march to review the season and then they decide on transfer priorities. only then they decide which players to pursue and who is our priorities. we will hear about our concrete transfer targets only around march or april and I expect Enzo to be a part of that plans.

You seem to have no idea how to read, or to understand basic English.

Where in any of my posts did I claim Bellingham was our number one target, or that we were ‘all in’ for him?

I’ll help you out here to save time - I didn’t.

You’re creating a false dichotomy, and then arguing against it - literally starting an argument with yourself. Which is never a good look!

What I actually said was there are links across the sports media and with people connected at the Club that City are interested in signing Bellingham.

I also said there are no such links to Enzo.

Nothing in the rambling, semi-coherent drivel you posted in response to me about transfer committee meeting dates or your searing insights on the inner workings of City’s board in any way contradicts either of those points.

There are no links to Enzo. There are plenty of links to Bellingham.

There - it’s not difficult.

The fact is you haven’t got a clue when our board is meeting to discuss transfers. You’re not on the invite list. You watched a documentary where they met in March, and have decided that makes you an authority on the workings of our board. It doesn’t.

And you ‘expecting’ a player to be part of those plans means precisely nothing to anyone who matters in this conversation. Your expectations are in no way relevant to the decisions the club will or won’t make.

If you want to argue I’m wrong on there being plenty of links to Bellingham, and barely anything to Enzo - fire away.

If you want to argue against something I didn’t say again - I’ll save you the time. Don’t bother. I’m not interested.

But what happens if said big team doesn’t make an offer for him?
Very good question...Im sort of hoping thats what happens, he straightens his head out and returns the player we know he is (signs were there yesterday of the latter already happening)
However we also know that Barca, despite wht is reported about their finances every year (ad nausiem in the media) somehow manage to purchase a number of players most summer with their miraculous "leaver" pulling! - If they want him they will find the money....I just hope we dont do them any favours and demand the price we know he is worth (80m upfront)

Apparently there aren't any more levers - according to Pol Ballus - as La Liga weren't happy with how they had essentially tried to get round the restrictions by kicking the can down the road.

If we didnt buy him with Julian when he was available cheap can't see the club suddenly making him our record signing.

I wanted Caicedo desperately. I can see this bellingham stringing us on all summer then signing for Liverpool.

They will get the money from somewhere....

PSG could be another potential destination for Bernardo....they certainly have the money.

This would put the cat amongst the pigeons where Bernie's concerned. Let's see if it's all about the sun & lifestyle, or is it about money & the sun on his back?
