Bargain at that price. Think he ends up in Madrid though.
I couldn't care less if a player is an arrogant dickhead, as long as he tears up the opposition and wins us silverware. We need cold-blooded quality and winners in this midfield, not well-behaved choirboys. Win us the league, and nobody will care about the rest.
So no 10 behind the front 3 not very likely.Absolutely this, couldn’t agree more.
He’d be a huge upgrade on Reijnders, plus we’ve already lost Bernie. Getting Enzo and Anderson in alongside Rodri would give us the best midfield in the world.

I know, but your post suggested the 3 playing as one midfield, it wouldn't, or hardly.Pesonally can't see us buying both unless Rodri goes which I doubt he will until next suumer. If Gonzalez or Reijnders go we'll buy somebody but probably not Fernadez,or we'd move O'Reilly into midfield. It’s a squad game and we play over 60 games a season, everyone would get plenty of matches. The formation would depend on availability and the opponent.

Disagree, i think Maresca has already tapped him up for us.
Madrid would be hard to turn down mate if they’re genuinely interested. Apart from the club itself, Madrid is superb city and has strong pull for South Americans.
I don't disagree with the general tenor of your argument, but in the corresponding time that Fernandez was at Chelsea and Silva was with us, so 22-23 through 25-26, then the Argentine saw 37 yellows and 0 reds, whereas the Portuguese saw 42 yellow and 1 red. Playing consistently in midfield will see players pick up cards.Disappointed if City are looking at this guy. I would have thought people realise that City are a perfect case in point that you can target the right sort of personalities rather than just focusing on ability and still be successful. In fact I would argue that recruiting these types of genuinely good characters has been a major contributing factor to the club's sustained success over Pep's tenure.
The club's insistence of signing the right type of people has ensured a tight-knit group of players that pull together for each other, cause very little disruption, and have the humble attitude combined with confidence in their own ability to challenge for silverware year after year, after year. The ones that don't fit that ideal tend not to last too long (Cancelo, Sterling when he saw his arse after being dropped).
Comparing Fernandez to Bernardo character-wise just because they both have a bit of tenacity to them is ridiculous. Bernardo's shithousery was always hugely overstated IMO, only really Liverpool supporters can have a reasonable excuse for their dislike of him, for most other supporters he was simply a very good opponent who never gave their teams a moments peace. Off the field it's pretty clear Bernardo is simply one of the nicest people, whereas Fernandez has shown signs of being a disruptive, unsavoury individual, the sort of player who should be left for the rags to blow huge money on. With Txiki and Pep still in charge I don't think interest in this guy would have gone beyond an initial scouting stage and for me, that should be enough of a red flag. Definite no for me.
Guardiola always left on good terms. In terms of character, Fernandez certainly appears combustible, but maybe he sets himself higher standards than he sees in his Chelsea teammates. I've no idea whether he is unsavoury or not, prefer to give people the benefit, but I'm unconvinced we'll be signing him. Guardiola was never keen on fishing in pools he'd visited before, and that might be a practice Maresca is happy to maintain.
I like Neto and think he would be far more useful than Sav for us.Chelsea selling half their team according to their sources, Gusto , Enzo Fernandez, Neto , Cucurella, Pedro, Fofana are just a few that if offers came in they would accept
True. He also went back for a player from Leicester and signed youngsters with City DNA. If he is appointed, however, I’d prefer him to start afresh. Think that sets a good tone for existing players and keeps the coach fresh.Guardiola always left on good terms. Maresca didn't.
“If you're afraid of getting a rotten apple, don't go to the barrel. Get it off the tree."At one level he represents a bit more of a risk for the club/Maresca than might seem to be the case at first sight.
The atmosphere is likely to be a bit febrile at the start of next season. Building momentum and goodwill in the new era will be important. Any issues with non Chelsea recruits will be seen as Viana's problem, whereas Fernandez (and Cucarella for that matter) would directly contaminate Maresca.
