Enzo Fernandez

Never in a million years is he worth £70 million let alone £105 million as he 4 good games at the World Cup and a decent season at benfica who must be laughing all the way to the bank in fact Alvarez is a better prospect so he must be £120 million now . All them players and still no goal scorer .

No doubt agueeeero93:20 is in cardiac arrest over this deal and I’m sure he’ll switch allegiance to the Shed End! He’s a good player, but £105m, to a team 10th in the league, playing a ridiculous, scatter gun approach! …good luck to them, but I know for sure I'm happier with City’s approach to signings. We are short at fullback and we need freshening in midfield, but I’ve no doubt we’ll bring in the right players in the summer! Let Chelsea panic buy 300m worth of players in the hope they manage a europa spot!
You are either Enzo himself or his agent, maybe now that he’s been overpaid for by Chelsea, you will kindly fuck off with your nonsense?! You have written a scouting report and you’ve watched 12 games, ergo you are more qualified than anyone else to comment?? ….erm, fuck of!

Why the fuck will I fuck off? for being right lol. maybe the likes of you should be the one to fuck off from the club and support the likes of spurs. those are the kinds of loser clubs that is suited for you. I will keep on advocating the best solution for manchester city football club. And yes I am better than most of the lazy bums at our clubs who are better off resigning in disgrace, rather than lazily suggesting targets like funkin james madison. Also it is a fact I am better than most of the plebs in this forum FYI.

I will say once again currently Enzo is better than bellingham. obviously future coaching differnce between pep and potter will be huge but ultimately Enzo would have been a better player under pep than bellingham under pep. we have already hamstrung ourself by going for bellingham instead of enzo. hopefully we don't lower ourselves to the likes of james madison.

Yes, but it was always measured on losses over a 3 year period (doubled over the Covid era).

The new rules from next year are wages vs turnover they gotta be less than 90%, then 80% and then 70% owwards from 2025.

The punishment will be a fine if they fail they’ll just pay it! It won’t be being kicked out of champs league!

The way we were treated was because we were ganged up against by the history clubs who never stopped complaining to uefa premier! I believe they paid someone to hack our club rewrote emails and with the media in tow went about to get us kicked out of Europe! They did! Why we went to cas! Damage done never ti be undone! Oh and because of the certain premier clubs who were not happy went ti the courts to make us turnover all documents on our sales sponsors! So a never ending investigation into our claim which gets brought up every few months!

8.5 years!!

Yep and will be the only club ever who will be allowed to do this! So not only do they get a free pass for spending 600m in two windows they get the advantage of spreading wages over a longer period to ease ffp in the long run! Yep uefa changed the rules now but only to be enforced next window! Just think if that was city the first time we did that they would brought the rule in that no other player was allowed to have a contract that long! Chelsea brought in a full team on long deals! Media genius by Chelsea great window by Chelsea! Personally think chelsea or any club should be allowed to spend what the fcuk they want!

It’s just how we have been treated by the rest of the premier and the media seen our take over that leaves a bitter taste!

Your living in dream land if you think somebody is paying that for him.
They actually paid more.Anyway good news for River who will with formation rights now receive €41.5 million as well as the earlier €14 and the examle of only selling a % to any European outfit.

Spreading the transfer fee I get. Wages however, surely the length of contract works against them as they commit to paying the wages for longer.

They will also be paying guys 2022 rates in 8 years time.

Fuck off you condescending prick..
You think you know better than our club and it's staff...you might know plenty about South American football but don't start lecturing City fans about City
FFS I'm pretty sure plenty of blues on here were match going fans before you were born.
We get you don't rate non South American football players and have a downer on British players but don't presume that you have better knowledge about our club than the vast majority of our fans.

To be fair, he has been excellent at every team has has played so far: Defensa y Justica, River Plate, Benfica and Argentina. Not only that, he has won on every single one of those teams (well, except with Benfica for obvious reasons). And, with the exception of River, non of the trophies he won were expected. He won the Copa Sudamericana and Recopa with Defensa (that's like winning the Europa League and then the European Supercup with a team like Bournemouth) and then the World Cup with Argentina after 36 years. Being a crucial player in all of those.

The kid is just special, but then again, not all World Class players work at every team. Di María and Pogba at United, Hazard and Bale at Madrid, Griezman at Barca. Heck, if Messi wasn't Messi and just a kid coming up, he would have been benched forever after his first season in Paris and everybody would be talking about how he was just all hype. There are so many different factors that come into play when trying to adapt to a new city/country and team.

Totalmente he is a special pibe but like Julian mostly thanks to Gallardo and River. It will be more dificult for him than Julian in a team that for all its money doesnt seem to have coherence.

Yeah, I would have loved for him to end at City. Him and Julian make such a great pairing. I don't know how when they were scouting Julian they didn't see Enzo too. The pair balled every single match. The difference with the rest was evident.

well I have watched more than a dozen of his club games outside of the world cup. I have written my scouting report in the pages before, but people here who have not seen him even for a entire game seem to tell me I am wrong lol! I have also watched a dozen or more dortmund games and I can tell you without a doubt that Enzo right now is levels above bellingham. Enzo is already world class and can single-handedly control a football match from midfield while bellingham is more of a future potential and right now a moments player who has a good attacking moments near the opposition box. when bellingham is priced at close to 150 mil then 120 mil for Enzo is a no brainier

From what I have seen of both players, I agree with this. That is not to say I think we should be going for Enzo over Bellingham (if indeed we do), the people at the club are there for that. We reportedly did try get enzo before his move to benfica so there was something there. Although who knows how it would have all turnes out if we had got him. Bellingham seemed a more ready player as of last summer, and that would have been a part of it.

There does seem to be this odd tendency though that once we are linked with a player, to get defensive about them, big up their skills and rate them above others who don't play for us.

Complete and utter nonsense. And although the Bundesliga isn't great, it's a far stronger competition than the Portuguese league for a start. The fact that Fernandez can apparently control games and Bellingham can't is irrelevant as they are completely different types of midfielders. Bellingham will end up with far more goals and assists than Fernandez is likely to over their careers as he's more attacking. He doesn't need to control games as he doesn't even play in a position you need to be able to do that. Your "scouting report" must be absolutely awful.

Benfica with Enzo were excellent in the champions league.Enzo was top class with River and Argentina.Bellingham is a great player but a lot different to Enzo.I would say it will depend on the team and style of play where one or the other can be most effective.Bellingham is clearly one who thrives in high tempo football whilst Enzo is a classical Argentina midfielder with more creativity.

Well that's my point. If you rate one higher than the other that's fair enough. But they have completely different strengths to each other. You can't say Fernandez is world-class and Bellingham isn't just because Fernandez controls games better. He's a defensive midfielder, or much more defensive than Bellingham, and it's part of his job. It's part of Bellingham's to create and that's something he generally does extremely well. You could play them both in the same team, they certainly wouldn't be competing for the same spot. Fernandez is a good passer and that will get his some assists, but compare their goals/assists stats and Jude is the clear winner.

River might well have been more keen to sell to Benfica as the same sell on percentage with us, is probably only going to be a small amount if he doesn’t work out.

Whereas with Benfica it is a lot more if it does. Add to that he is probably now on significant more wages then if he had come to City and probably further on in his career (should be 1st name on team sheet for Chelsea now whereas Alvarez is squad player for us).

Might not be as simple as saying we should have just brought him.

I think the transfer fee is ridiculous. I think he’s a good player, but he’s unproven at the top level. They’re paying 110m for potential.

Clubs seem incapable of spotting players beforehand ie benfica getting him for 10m.

If he’s 110m what does that make someone like Rodri? 160m?
