Just looked to see what I didn't know about him. He won a few things in Spain and even played for our sister club Palermo.

When he took over the Under 23's and won the PL2, at a canter he managed a team of mainly 17 yo's consisting of
Palmer, Delap, Lavia, Doyle C, Doyle T, Harwood Bellis, Trafford, Slicker, Egan- Reily, MacAtee, Finley Burns,
Nemacha F, Bobb, Robertson and others.

It's maybe a bit of a leap into the dark for the club, but it's not pitch black - if you know what I mean!

That's "inside out" compared to pretyy much every other manager avaialble. Best of all, it acted as a 2 year job interview.

Very happy if Maresca is the man. I think he'll do an Arne Slot after Klopp and Pellegrini after Mancini sort of job. Hopefully he doesn't have a second season like those 2!

The time is right, all our rivals will also be changing managers in the previous 6 months, except Arsenal and fuck them they are dogshit.

Initially underwhelmed, but I think you have to look at this one as a Vinny type appointment in the sense that maybe he just needs the right environment to thrive. Obviously Chelsea is its own shitshow and Leicester were sinking faster than the titanic at the time. Lets see.

I'm strangely happy with this appointment. It wouldn't feel right for City just to parachute in the latest big name and flavour of the month. The club the majority of the big decisions right and I'm perfectly happy to take this guy at face value and judge him by what I see.
