Slight edit. But failing to investigate the "suicide" will essentially see the investigation into the alleged paedophile ring dropped, without it's star witness and without an acknowledgement that the star witness may have met with foul play for that very purpose. Failing to investigate the "suicide" would be failing to follow up on their biggest lead.

If there is a death in custody in this country the independent prisons ombudsmen have to investigate and review. What Im saying is Im sure there is a similar body and protocol over there, but they are wasting their time really because nobody will believe a word of the report anyway. Im talking about the enquiry into the death in custody alone, not the wider crimes he was accused of. He had been charged with those, so I assume that investigation is already done as it was pending trial

He'd been charged. Others will probably never be charged now that he can't be flipped.
 
As he died before conviction his $700 million estate cannot be seized in a proceeds of crime action.

Maybe plod should look at his beneficiaries...
