To be able to come into the first team at 17, in the most vulnerable position on the pitch and to play with such calmness and authority is outrageous.
I absolutely loved Micah Richards when he broke through but he relied on his physicality, this lad doesn’t have that physicality to get him out of trouble so it just makes it all the more impressive. If he continues to develop under Pep then we could have a potential superstar on our hands, he reminds me very much of Fabio Cannavaro, if he turns out half as good then Stones and Laporte best watch their backs.

It’s his 18th birthday on the 9th. It’s more likely he starts the Checkatrade match instead.
