You can't sign a deal longer than 3 years until you're 18. Garcia signed the longest deal possible this summer when he joined.

Twice now today I've forgotten he's 17. He's going to be some player.

But he should be able to play some position with that ability.

Just 17 and made his debut, but looked like he had played 200 games for us. Very good on the ball, some excellent passes and put in a couple nice tackles and interceptions. He’s taller than Kev, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Walker and at 17 he could grow a little more and if he also improves his jumping he could also be an aerial threat. Would be interesting to see if he could play as a DM. Big talent

Quality player. A little naive once or twice but an excellent debut on the whole. Played some lovely balls out from defence and made some good interceptions. A very bright future.

I almost don't want him being played too much before we can tie him down to a long term contract because performances like that will have other clubs interested. Having said that, I imagine his quality was known before we even picked him up the way scouting works these days.

Once Vinny joins the coaching team at the end of this season this lad will seamlessly drop into the match day squad. What a composed player, reads the game well and looks elegant stepping out of defence and playing football on the front foot.

Erm... wow!

A 17 year old playing in a back four where the other three players didn't play well (Walker and Otamendi had stinkers) and the defensive mid is a centre half. That was quite some performance.

Well done lad. Looking forward to seeing how he develops.
