Eric Garcia to Barcelona

He’s a young kid - I’m not sure he’s being well advised and I’m really not sure he’ll feature much at Barcelona But he’s made his bed - so he can lie on it. Not too fussed if I’m honest and I wish him all the best - just hope we get a decent fee for him. As an aside I think Barca are one hell of a nasty snide club - right up there with the worst... Bayern, Dippers, Rags and Arsenal.

Wheras Garcia, who can't defend for shit & isn't as good a defender as THB, is allowed to make exactly the same mistakes & be just as slow as an average 2nd team defender, but is welcome in the first team.

Perhaps if Taylor changes his name to Juan he might get some respect.

Nah, I just hate shit, overrated defenders getting pushed forward because they can pass the ball & I was terrified Pep was going to blow next season by playing him.

I rate THB highly: he has good positional sense and is confortable on the ball too, he's also physically dominating at youth level. I think he is at least as good a prospect as Eric and likely to have more attachment to the club. We cannot expect, as a given, that teenagers signed from other clubs as top prospects will have the loyalty we have.

I was sad to hear this today on the news.
I think the kid has huge potential, he's prone to the odd mistake which is understandable at his age but his reading of the game and footballing brain is way above where it should be.

I'd love him to stay here but he's Barca through and through, so if that's what he want's then good luck to the lad.
If the boot was on the other foot as a City fan I'd do exactly the same.

Promising player who’s very composed on the ball and doesn’t make mistakes.

But he’s pretty small for a CB, not very physical and is actually slow as fuck. He’d possibly get found out in the PL eventually.

We only want players who are committed to the club so if he wants to go back to Barca, good luck to him. No hard feelings but he shouldn’t play for us again.

I actually think Stones is better now and has a higher ceiling, so I’d rather he plays in the CL.

I think it's that transition between being physically dominating at youth level & being back to square one & having to find a way to dominate at senior level, which will determine whether THB makes it or not.

He's not quite as good on the ball as Garcia & will need to tighten up there but he's better in every other aspect.
