Really detest this kid. Playing coy in the press so people say "oh he's so professional" when a true professional would never have made any of this nonsense public in the first place.
He said he has told us he is not renewing but wants to stay his final year( then go for nothing as that is what usually happens)Professional, through & through - one of the many things I love about him
Detest is going a bit far however in my opinion the ‘professional’ way forward would be to do a Rodri & only comment on Spanish national team topics & leave any potential transfers or contractual issues for his agent to comment on.
He said he has told us he is not renewing but wants to stay his final year( then go for nothing as that is what usually happens)
Get fucked, he will get sold, fine line between confident and arrogance
I don't think it's a similar situation at all, Brahim's path to getting actual first team minutes was a lot less clear and he certainly hadn't started any significant league/CL games like Garcia has. Going to Madrid was questionable but Pep said his family wanted to move back home, I don't see why him choosing to go there really matters to us considering he was always going to leave regardless and we got a good fee despite his contract being six months from expiring.Similar situation to Brahim Diaz (who I was disappointed in him going to move to Real Madrid's bench).
Absolutely agree with this. I cannot believe the lad has the audacity to publicly disrespect the club like this - must have some big balls to do that.He said he has told us he is not renewing but wants to stay his final year( then go for nothing as that is what usually happens)

He knows he won't get much playing time if he moves this season and thinks he can use us for his own benefit. If he doesn't leave now I hope he spends the coming season training on his own.Sounds like you failed to interpret his words as well, that happens when you have an agenda and hear what you want to

No detest is pretty accurate, he has used the club for his own ends and now wants to leave out the back door with a pat on the back. He can go fuck himself in my opinion. Obviously that isn't likely to be the clubs standpoint but it is mine.

No no no, that's fine pal. It's just these twats that have the audacity to leave us. Nothing like double standards at all. :)This is classic 1990's thinking. There was a thing called the Bosman ruling and everything changed.
Bottom line is that if a player really wants to go some where else and they turn down money / run down there contract to get it then I have no issue with it - its how the game is (and has been for like 10 years+). It's a booth ways thing. Can Messi go fuck himelf or are you ok with that one? Do you begrudge Silva signing on elsewhere having run down his deal with us? It is what it is and good luck to him.
How would you interpret his words ? How would you react if one of your plays did the same thing ?
Yep we dont owe him a place in 1st team training never mind the 1st team.
Give his spot to someone more deserving.
We absolutely don't, you are right.
But if he is still here (which he won't be) next season, and is an option to feature in cup games or as a sub or play whatever role pep sees fit for him, then as s player contracted to us, he still has that responsibility and if pep wants to use him, he will/ should. You don't get a year off just by not committing to the year after that.
My point is, if he`s leaving for nothing next year why would we give Garcia any playing time. This would only give Barcelona a more experienced player.
If we are going to give game time and experience it should be to a player we think wants to make a career with us.
True but - these things are a constant in football, there are always players on the way out. Do you pick on the better ones as you want to punish them for not signing and send a warning /make an example for others who might think the same. Or do you just let it ride and look to create the best environment for the players and hope that by doing that you have the best chance of keeping the ones you want when it next comes around.
I think it is mostly the latter, with a small exception for players that are arse holes or who dont show the club the same respect (and by that i would completley ignore the wets on bluemoon who take offence at anything).
