Not in January he won't unless Messi is coming the other way (I would still hold out for a fee but that's just me).

Edit: In fact if they both wait until the Summer, Barca will owe us training fees (not much since it's cross league) whereas we get Messi for free.

He wont ever be a top centre half in the prem and with the way Pep plays he is a liability in this league.

Barca must be skint and desperate going for him...surely there are better centre halves out there than Garcia?

City were refusing to let Barca dictate the terms . Barca were not offering what the club felt was the right price and terms and so were told to do without the player.

The money wasn't the important bit, it was to demonstrate that we would not be bullied by Barca or by Garcia refusing a new contract.
