HIs dad generally sits just behind me in the East stand. One of the joys of Erling scoring is watching Alfie go bonkers. Looks like I've got quite a few more years of that to go. I love this club.
Hhhmmm… depends when the “lifetime” contracts were signed. Certainly up there in the PL…No

The 15 longest contracts in football history revealed after Haaland's incredible Man City deal
The Man City star's 9-year extension isn't even the longestwww.givemesport.com
We have had absolute world-class players, but not someone with a genuine star factor like Haaland. He is in the Ronaldo/Messi tier in terms of young kids worshipping him and following him around, social media presence and just transcending-the-sport level of celebrity.
I don't believe a thing that grifter says. If it's not Ornstein, I don't pay it any mind.Ah okay, because Fabrizio Romano mentioned it.
Isn't it obvious. We're getting demoted to the Lancashire Combination League and we're tying him into a long enough deal that he'll still be here when we finally return and win the Premier League in 2033.By no means I'm complaining.
I'm objectively trying to understand what our reasoning for offering him that long contract as we never did anything like that before.
Did they not? Never had kids and no idea what Insta is so I guess I'm out of touch. We have had absolute world-class players, but not someone with a genuine star factor like Haaland. The likes of De Bruyne and Aguero is legends for us but never reached that level of fame, and I suspect never wanted to. But Haaland has simply just had that factor since he shook the world at Salzburg and financially it is a gold-mine
Arguably makes him untouchable for the next 5½ years as not even PSG could afford him with the length of contract he's now on? Could also be an up yours to the PL and the red tops, also a great advertisement for any future signings?By no means I'm complaining.

You’d be saying differently if you were signing on the dotted line!I will be slammed for this…
I’m not a big fan of these big contracts.
Or if he’d only signed for another yearYou’d be saying differently if you were signing on the dotted line!
That's way too obvious. Isn't it?Isn't it obvious. We're getting demoted to the Lancashire Combination League and we're tying him into a long enough deal that he'll still be here when we finally return and win the Premier League in 2033.
