Did he know the record was 6? As I said, anybody could have been brought off at 6-0 to give Alvarez and others a run out. I was also surprised he cam out for the 2nd half to be honest. I reckon it was a pre planned decision that at 60 mins Alvarez would come on for Haaland, but I’ll bet inside, Erling was pissed off too. Imagine the kudos he would have got and the boost to his game. I of course, understand the counter argument of ‘job done, don’t risk injury’ etc. However I’m still a bit disappointed we didn’t get the chance to see history being made.Did he know the record was 6? If I use my head, I can understand the logic. However, I'm a City fan and I think with my heart.
I was very disappointed he was taken off. Sure, I know the defenders could've got pissed off and lashed out at him and nailed him for the season, but that can happen at ANY point in the game. Pep needs to indulge us sometimes and allow the club to make it's mark.
He should've been left on till the end to SMASH any records going. It would've sent shockwaves through Europe and made sure in the next round he was double-marked and that could leave space for the others to exploit.
I've never seen a player like him. He almost draws the ball to where he is, it's really unerring to see. Even my favourite strikers - The Goat and Aguero - don't close close to him in my view, he's a completely different class to any striker I've ever seen.

Hopefully Mahrez can get back to his best, I thought he was good when he came on. He's scored some important goals in the CL.
Barring a career ending injury Haaland has at least 10 years to score 6 CL goals, and he probably will.
Messi scored 5 in 2012. He’s never done it again in over 11 years and 600 club games since.
