Erling Haaland

Pep has just signed a new 2 year contract and has never walked out on a contract as far as I know. So for the next two years minimum he's the most important person at the club.

I think it's worth remembering that Khaldoon and Txiki are very close to Pep. They're not going to force players upon him if he has others in mind, and vice versa they're not going to tell him he can't have a player who he thinks could be important for the next two years without doing everything to get the player.
We don’t know the details of his contract. I remember a story that came out when he signed claiming this could be a 1 + 1 year type of deal, but announcing it that way would’ve been terrible optics.
Having a close relationship also means they would understand that if, at the end of next season, he claims he needs to go due to mental exhaustion, for instance. Works both ways.
With all due respect, I like your posts sometimes despite the voice of God syndrome, but you flip flop constantly on your certainties. It was 100% Haaland before, now it’s 100% Kane. And your beginning to flip flop on Grealish, which you were claiming on every post up until days ago wouldn’t happen. So I’m talking your absolutes with a grain of salt. Respectfully, of course!
“they're not going to tell him he can't have a player who he thinks could be important” Yes, which is why we had this brilliant, all-English CB pairing this season, John Stones and Harry Maguire. The English team’s! The club could easily come to the conclusion that the investment needed for Kane isn’t smart and worth it, even if Pep is begging for it, as you claim.
Cheers! I need a break from the forum

Absolutely. I mean you should actually go back further to that meeting between Khaldoon and Pep in the Maldives when he agreed to stay for another 2 years. That's where the key decisions will have been made. Letting Aguero go was Pep's call, even his dad has subsequently said that Pep alone decided Kun should go. For me that speaks to who is calling the shots this summer in terms of incomings and even outgoings.
I’m glad you were a bee at that meeting

You can take whatever you want wherever you want mate. I'm not arsed, I just told you what I think.

One thing though. Don't put words in my mouth I haven't said. Because then I know that you're wanting a dick measuring contest and I don't play those games on here or in real life.

Pep doesn't like mino. City have good experience of mino with the whole cake Yaya thing.
Utd are constantly dealing with mino's outbursts on behalf of what Pogba "wants" (which always seems to line the pocket of himself). He's a parasite from what I've seen over the years, I'm not sure he works on behalf of just what his client needs either!
Mino Raiola was never Yaya Toures agent, Dimitry Seluk was. The fact that its Raiola that does these outbursts and not Pogba himself is because it gains Pogba using Raiola as a scapegoat. If Pogba was happy to stay Raiola would not voice his dissatisfaction, which of course was sanctioned by Pogba. Yes he is a parasite, but pretty much all agents are parasites. The reason Raiola is popular among top players is because he is (from their perspective) good at getting them big contracts and/or big moves if they want to leave. He doesn't mind (I think rather the opposite) being portrayed as the bad guy as long as his client gets what they want. Media loves blaming him and it suits his clients purposes. Imagine who everyone would blame for Kane wanting out if Raiola was his agent.

You never said Grealish wasn’t happening?

First of all, I’m not sure Pep is the one calling all the shots in a situation like this, involving this much money. The club could very well push him the choice they see as better for a number of reasons. He said himself the club would make the large investment when IT saw fit.
Secondly, I’m trying to reconcile the multiple narratives you’ve been pushing. By all accounts, it seems like the first choice has been Haaland and there has/had been work done to secure that. Now you say they have decided the serial loser is better suited to deliver us the immediate wins.
I have a serious belief that the club wants to plan to win the UCL as well as the PL. While you shouldn’t prioritize one over the other, you can build a team better suited for both. Villarreal carefully made choices to win the Europa League and they were successful. And they know Haaland gives them the better shot at the UCL.

I struggle with this because Pep also likes to work with bright and young talent. If Haaland ends up at Chelsea, there has to be a certain jealousy on his part that Tuchel was able to work with Haaland, Mbappe and Neymar, besides winning the UCL against him. And in his gut he knows the blow it will mean. At Barcelona, Bayern and up til this point here, his teams always had biggest players in their respective leagues.

Appreciate your post as well, I’m just unmoved by your points, respectfully. Cheers

In terms of the multiple narratives, just a wider acknowledgement that one player told us at a certain juncture he would like to play for us, while keeping all his options open.

And there is another player Pep absolutely loves who has made it crystal clear to us that he wants to come here and we will play the percentages on it as they stand.

Last season we moved away from Koulibaly to Kounde, to Dias.

Whilst I agree City can and should lean in more on Haaland if it is just a question of money, I don't think we see Kane as a downgrade on multiple fronts.

There is also other business to conduct and another £100m on Grealish, plus the uncertainty of outgoings, I can see why City don't want to hedge their bets for too long on Haaland.

We will know the landscape, I'm absolutely sure of it.

Txiki probably has his Cuban heels up laughing his bollocks off right now.

Riola is a brilliant agent for his players, although even he messes up sometimes, he has just cost Donnarumma a ton of money by getting too arrogant, but on the whole he looks after his players very well.
