Whilst I fully expect Haaland to be a hit wherever he goes, it is still a risk as he’s unproven in this league. Whilst there’s a part of me that respects his journey he’s also moved on every couple of years. Considering his agent if we sign him I do not expect him to be with us any longer than the amount of years we’d have Kane smashing them in. His agent is bad news, we’ve genuinely avoided them after Yaya but I do accept Haaland may be worth it.

We waited a year to replace Kompany, because the oprions that summer were dire or insane prices. Then we nailed it. Imagine we spent 80m on Maguire, and then had to buy a proper defender again in a year or twonat a huge cost again. Or koulibaly the following year.

It would be a mistake not getting a replacement for Aguero. But nowhere near as big a mistake as not getting the right player in. Specially at the insane prices we are talking about, it Has to be right. Get a cheap alternative in if you have to wait, give torres and gabi a go, but if spending big money, get it right.

And I'm sorry for not agreeing, but for me Kane isn't the right signing. Not saying he is not good, but rather he is not right. Will totally welcome if he comes, won't be disappointed if we get nobody though.


Your mention of van persie is appropriate. Short term fix, thay won them that one title, their last in almost a decade. Also, cost a good 100m less than what Kane would.

This CF position is just something we can’t get wrong, especially with the figures being thrown around. It’s Haaland for me or don’t bother and wait for the next no brainer to come along

In that year not replacing Kompany we failed in every comp minus the league cup. We are too good to skip seasons.

Kane isn’t a risk in the slightest, I can’t understand how anybody sees it as anything less than a guarantee. It’s a lot of money but who thinks replacing Aguero will be done on the cheap? Van Persie was older with a year remaining on his contract and nearly ten years ago. Costs are different but idea remains the same. There is also zero guarantee we get Haaland next year.

There’s some really good reasoning for and against Kane or Haaland but if we get Kane and it doesn’t work out what sort of resale value would he have. With Haaland we would probably get a significant amount back.

Think haaland is more a risk than Kane tbh . In Kane you are getting 25 goals from an already established premier league striker in haaland you are signing potential which could go anywhere . Be happy with either but kane for us would be immense.
