Erling Haaland

Chelsea opting for Lukaku over Haaland should tell us all we need to know. Either Dortmund are firm on not moving and Haaland himself isn't pushing for it or the price(s) quoted are ludicrous.

Chelsea are more likely to pay bigger fees than we are IMO so if they've moved away, there's no chance we were ever involved or decided early on that we weren't. Hence...Kane.
I think we should be in the fight to get him next year however. I'm concerned that getting Kane will mean we wont be however

100%

We sign Kane, which is highly likely, and the Haaland dream is over.I suspect the kid has made it known he won't be coming to the Prem, hence the alternatives.
Haaland is a strange one, especially the way Chelsea quickly dropped all interest and moved on to Lukaku.

Makes you wonder if his future next summer is already decided.

Tap players up in their final year of contract and then sign them on frees or force the selling club to sell on our terms.
You don't think Txiki is contact with players and agents?
Which free transfers have we missed out on?

I don't see Bayern forcing anyone other than domestic clubs to sell on their terms and to be fair, we already cherry pick the best players in this country.

It is impossible to say "On our terms", I don't have any issue with any of the transfer business we have done recently.

Thats what I said,he has made his future known to those that need to know.

If we get Kane then fair enough that's it done.
Spuds push things too far, pull out (my preference).
Run till Xmas with what we've got then 6 months nearer buy out clause slap in 120 million bid,Psg and Chelsea out of the picture only Real left it might be enough to sway them.
He could make the difference when the trophies are getting handed out provided we are still challenging for everything which we should be.

Tixki has done some killer deals, Jesus and Torres tremendous value and the way he quietly signs players that he knows will never play for the first team but have resale value is outstanding.

But we have also payed top money for most of our major targets, negotiated for months but end up paying what the selling club wanted all along.

The Kane deal seems to be heading that way now.

We are verging off topic but I don't think its fair to say that. We have no idea of the negotiations. I have seen this a lot on here, for some reason people believe Txiki is so inept at his job he rings up X every day and offers £10 more whilst wasting everyones time and then pays the £50m anyway. Its bollocks.

We know what the price for Kane is, we would have known for months. This posturing is nothing other than Levy refusing to sell before we play them and trying to get their own targets in before he leaves. Its that simple.
