This is a good result if there’s any truth to what’s been said about nothing happening as long as BVB are in a title race…

They were never really in a title race. They weren’t keeping up with Bayern, and at best, they’d have half kept up until they get fucking ROLLED at the Allianz.

The gap between Bayern and the rest is enormous. BVB just happen to be the best of that rest.

I agree. But people are saying nothing will be announced/leaked as long as BVB has a chance. This loss inches Bayern closer to being Champions elect.

lol you were quiet about his standout performance for the NT, now popping up again.. agenda and he hasn't even arrived!
hope you're not talking about them battering Armenia..

It's just my opinion. If he's not getting service behind the lines(which he'll hardly get in the league with us) then he's marked out of games far too often. Doesn't have the technical ability to drop deep and spray the ball out to wingers, create overloads, etc..

Such a reductive view.

He’s not only effective behind the lines. He’s one of the world’s best at finding and attacking space in a packed box, usually with a finish at the end of it when given the service.

Have to agree with you mate, watched a lot of haaland and he is still very raw and far from the finished product. The people who seem to think he will come and we will automatically dominate and win every trophy are in for a bit of a shock. Look how Chelsea struggle with lukaku, United with ronaldo etc.

Kane is the best fit for us but sadly we seem to have moved on.

What a fuck off big pile of donkey spunk.

You’re talking as if he is being asked to do any of this by Rose. Rose asks of him to be the most obvious centerforward in the world, and he’s there. Rose also makes all his other players shadows of the players they can be. Watching the Dortmund team vs Leipzig today was shocking, I couldn’t believe how poorly set up the team was, and how superior Tedesco’s job has been — and we’re talking about an averagr manager who just arrived… Now make Haaland switch sides and play where André Silva was playing and you will see a different and more useful player. There is also the factor that his head is almost entirely gone from the Dortmund environment, you see he isn’t 100% there clearly. You have to hold a lot of grudge against this player to not see this, not to mention a degree of ignorance about how he performed with other managers, both at Dortmund and at Salzburg. But I know you will be a constant in his Player Performance thread next season, so we’ll have lots of fun.

yep that guy has lost his marbles when it comes to this topic. sure Haaland has much to improve in terms of possession play but even if you just drop him into our team today and he stays just inside the box he would have had a hattrick today and would have minimum 30 goals in the PL and we will have atleast 9 more points this season.

You’re becoming a bit weird on here mate. Acting as if Haaland isn’t that good but then you’re in the Liverpool thread crowing about any new signing they make and acting as if that Dias is world class. You’ll see what world class looks like if Haaland’s in our team next season tbh.

It is good there still cautious expectation in fanbase, whether haaland will fitting and living up his expectation playing for us is remain to be seen. It is not 100 percent guarantee he will make our goal scoring productivity higher than we have right now.

It's not about higher productivity overall, but changing the games where we look like we could go for 3-4 hours without scoring, like Southampton and Palace.

Anyway, providing he stays fit Haaland will bag an obscene amount of goals for us, he is a one in a million striker talent.

If we get him it is absolutely a 100% guarantee. Nobody in our current squad is a clinical goalscorer. We score 1 for every 4 or 5 great chances we have. And we regularly get into positions near the by line where we are crying out for a strikers movement and there’s no one there or they’re all static.

Of course there are things he can improve, every player bar a peak Messi has things they can improve. But the fact is he is a number 9 central striker, scoring goals is his main job and he is one of the best in the world at doing that and he would only improve and get more chances playing for us.

And yes, we play a different system to Dortmund, but go watch his highlights and you can see he can finish *every* type of chance. From crosses, runs in behind, from cut backs, snap shots, 1 on 1, moments of his own brilliance. If he stayed relatively injury free he’d immediately bag 30-40 a season here.

I agree The team attack pattern will become different when a true striker join this team, still not convinced he will be huge difference maker. The opposite team will not even trying to attack at all, 10 men on the box all the time it will be not only a weaker team but also a top team playing like this against City.

Is Haaland is good enough facing this scenario against a well organised team with a a higher defense quality in the best league in the world in each every week? Like i said it's remain to be seen, we can only found out after he actually joining and start playing for us.
