Would be piss funny if Khaldoon has been playing high stakes games in the transfer market and the end result is we get Haaland !! Scum pay through the nose for a near 37 year old who they didn"t want and have no idea how to use, and Spuds get a pissed off unmotivated 28 year old who they are going to have to up his wages to fit in with the bullshit that they spun him about being a superstar! if Heineken did transfer windows !!!

It doesn't take a genius to work out that Dortmund are shitting their pants with Haaland now.
They have a player worth 120m plus but they have his release clause set at 75m. They aren't going to offer him a new contract to up his release clause plus I don't think haaland or his agent will agree to that.
What I will say is these rumours usually start as a trickle then end up a tsunami through the day, it's odd stories of someone needs to bid up to 150m euros for haaland are appearing.
Do Dortmund want sell him? Probably not but if you had to pick 75m or double that for a fee then you're doing business at the top end.

This sounds like the Kdb transfer, the wolfsburg director was saying exactly the same as the Dortmund geezer.

Who knows.

Seems like this is the original article:

Snippet from Google Translate: "According to the information disclosed by The Athletic on Monday in the Ornstein on Monday section, Borussia Dortmund has feared for a few days a concrete offensive by the end of the transfer window of PSG with the interest announced by the capital club in the press . Some media have even said that contacts between the sporting director of the Parisian club Leonardo and the agent of Halaland, Mino Raiola, would have taken place. Indeed, although BvB turned down Chelsea's important offer last month, which ultimately fell back on Romelu Lukaku, a close to € 200m offer from PSG could not have been ruled out by Borussia. Dortmund due to its legal status as a public limited company. It remains to be seen whether Paris Saint-Germain will draw by Tuesday night."

You'd rather Van Dijk than Dias?

Van Dijk isn't a great leader. Threw his goalkeepers under the bus whenever they made a mistake. Can't imagine Dias ever doing that.

Happy with City's judgement on this.
That is not what I said. I just pointed out us walking away is not always the smartest decision

Not a chance this happens this summer and I am not optimistic that we will pay what's required to do it in January or next summer. The one thing that disappoints me to a degree beyond anything else about the football side of things is how infrequently we pull off the really big transfers. Although we did manage one this summer.

I have not wish for our club to be the Harlem Globetrotters of football (step forward PSG) and the club has done a very good job of buying top, top players for "reasonable" money (step forward Ruben Dias, KDB...). I am also content that the club are entitled to run themselves as a business with a budget. However, we seem to perpetually miss the opportunity to really distance ourselves from the rest and become the best team in the world; in addition to missing the commercial opportunities and growth that could come from signing the odd global star.
