You’re right, he will choose Leeds over City...:)
I never said that either....just that who he may or may not have supported as a kid (he actually supported both clubs as his dad played for both clubs during his time in England)) will have very little to no effect on where he chooses to move to (if he chooses to move)

Are you trying to tell me that Sanchez wasn’t a dyed in the wool rag when he chose Man United? He must have been I saw him play glory glory man United on the piano!!!...:)

There's plenty of stories of Liverpool fans playing for Everton and vice versa, to back up your point.

At best the club you supported as a kid would be a tiebreaker in the event that all the other tiebreakers hadn't settled things yet somehow.

Carragher, Gerrard...

If we're getting Messi I think there's a big chance we give Aguero an extension so Messi can play with his mate. That surely is one of the things that makes us an attractive destination for him. This blocks any move for a big name striker for one year at least
I can understand the rationale, but I also think agreeing terms with Aguero could be very difficult given he’s on £250k per week and I just can see us offer him anything like that or if we did it be based on games available which he’d have concerns over.

Just seems to me that given Aguero a free agent and has a high profile then another major club in Europe might take the gamble, and as such he’ll probably move on this summer.

I’ll however hate if we ever have to face his new club and I have to see him in another teams shirt. legend is a term thrown around way too much today but he has been a utter Legend at our club. I however suspect that how Barca fans feel about Messi....

Watching Mbappe absolutely kill it tonight just shows how some of the arguments by some people in this thread are ridiculous. We reportedly tried to sign him for 120 million years ago. If we had tried to spend a little more to secure him, people would’ve complained then but look at what you get back. With Haaland, whatever it takes will likely look cheap in the future. And no, it won’t “get to his head” or be an issue for Pep. That nonsense needs to stop

not sure if been mention but his agent is same as ibrahimovic and he hates pep cant see it happening tbh

I think we are willing to spend for the right player
The problem is ...does that player want to come to us
Mbappe didn’t want to I’m hoping Haaland will we are set for a decade then but who knows what offers he has

If a player doesn't want to come to Manchester(as Mbappe apparently stated) you can offer as much money as you want and it won't make any difference.

What your post does show(re. the £120mill, if true) is that we are willing to pay 'what it takes' for the right player.

Is that true? Who's his agent and what's the deal?
His agent is Mino Raiola. Raiola represents dozens of athletes and isn’t petty, neither are the people at our club. Sam Lee has already made it clear that inside the club they know he won’t be a problem at all. Raiola has had other (bigger) clashes with people other than Pep and then made deals with the clubs anyway. I’ve said this before in this thread, people make Raiola out to be a uniquely nasty agent (there are many others like him or worse) and also overestimate how the feud with Pep affects deals involving his players and City. It’s a non-issue

Mbappe didn`t want to come to City as he had a bigger offer from PSG, going to the biggest club in your country who win easily and have a big chance of the CL is a big draw, but he has done that now and understands the limitations, he now wants to go to Real or even Barca but they can not afford him, so the bait is come on a free next year, it is unlikely Spains economy will recover in time, and PSG might want some money for him. which when you add up the possibilities leaves us.

Mbappe was also born in Paris and supported PSG.
