Left field departures would be IMO -

Mahrez - top scorer, no reason to sell but also 31 and PSG (his childhood hometown team) need a Di Maria replacement.
Bernardo - Everyone's favourite but wanted to leave and hasn't publicly changed his mind.
Laporte - Also wanted to leave but someone like Marsh could easily have missed it.
Cancelo - Plays every week now but Real are after a big name RB and maybe he wants to play his normal position.
Pau Torres rumors suggest it might be Laporte

Oh yeah, the guy who half the fan base has been screaming to leave for 18 months, whose contract running out has been in the papers all year and who's been linked with half a dozen moves away is really fucking left field.
The difference between what the the "fan base" and Rodney Marsh thinks is left field could be significant.

Unless Rodney Marsh has been living in a cave in deepest Peru, he knows Sterling's future is uncertain and it's not left field.

I figured all the Adidas teases were to get Puma to up their offer because it’s clear he didn’t sign with Adidas…still wearing Nike boots. We’ll see soon enough.

Didn't I read not long ago that Puma really want Haaland to join City so that they could heavily sponsor him

The fact he’s said we need to sell 2 players to pass FFP certainly suggests he’s not getting good info.
Maybe the back half of the information is bad but not the entire thing. Happens a lot with sources
