I think they have the timeline messed up he was Sporting Director for both until 2015, then went back management.

Non-story in terms of 'prior relationship', though you can be sure the rags will go all-in for him regardless. No doubt they'll offer more cash, too. Let's hope both Alfie and Erling's prior sentimentality towards us counts for something.

I tried as hard as possible to find any connection between Alfie and Rangnick and couldn’t find anything. Must be a personal friendship or nothing at all. I’m guessing it’s those liked tweets being blown out of proportion
