No money for Raiola..

I'll believe it when I see it.

If it happens, there will be a way around it. Bigger player sign on fee, and player pays his agent a bonus, or something like that.

I don't really see how they can enforce it. I think agent fees are ridiculous, but jow can a footballing body put a limit on it. Can you cap a lawyer's fee to a set percentage of the value of a case for example?

This.

Its not happening. Not a chance Raiola and Mendes are just going to let Fifa tell them what they can earn.

And Fifa pushing a world cup every two years for profit aren’t themselves mercenaries?
Yep, but it's shocking that Fifa allow so much money to bleed out of the game. Especially when it's valuable potential corruption money that could be going into their back pockets.
Same with UEFA, they can enforce something so comically convoluted as FFP, but not be able to stop an agent from making 50mil on one signature.
Maybe the football suits are getting kickbacks on the agent's kickbacks?
Who the fuck can tell anymore, all the serious journalists have been replaced by brainwashed sportwashing obsessives.

I totally get the outrage at agent fees, I don't disagree for a second. But is it any different than being outraged at headphones costing £200, while there are plenty people happily paying £200 for a pair of headphones. Or any such example, of which there are many. Ultimately, the only meaningful way fees and prices reduce is their clients or customers stop paying what is asked. Then they might maybe come down.

I think the rule should be that a club can not pay an agent a penny. Only the player can pay an agent. I also think it should be similar to inside trading for a player to tell anyone (buying or selling club) how much they pay an agent. It should be between the player and the agent to decide what is fair.

I think it should be also illegal for the media to speculate on fees, wages and agent fees. If they have hard facts then fine but otherwise if they publish guesswork they should end up in a special torturous prison built just for the backpage scum.
