That Real-PSG CL tie will be great. If Real loses Perez wont be able to hold himself and he will announce Haaland in March lol to soften the blow.

could be a huge window for them for Haaland 60m, Mbappe free, Pogba free. Txiki will pay 100m again for Maddison this time, ehh

Think people in general are to fixated with what the transfer fee is (not saying you are), and dont really take the wage into consideration. You can sign Pogba on a free transfer, but on a 5 year deal he would probably cost more than a 100M Grealish when you consider sign on bonus and salary.

in terms of real, people obviously don’t understand the salary cap, they may be losing bale, Marcelo, Modric et al, however, those 3 deals are nigh on impossible, it’s one or the other in terms of Mbappe and Haaland, even pogshit is a stretch, those 3 equate to nearly 80m per year alone, half the necessary cap!

They’ll find a way. Unless UEFA want to make an example of them for the Super League attempt, there’s no way they’re doing anything to the biggest team in the world with the 2 next biggest players in the world.

Forgive me but are you discounting what we are paying Grealish? Same 5 year deal on 200k per week, 150m plus deal…

now it’s premature to judge Grealish so its prudent to revisit in 12 months I’d say

know what you mean but the cap is unavoidable, especially with the attached figures

Was not meant as a discussion regarding if Grealish is worth it or not, just wanted to highlight that the transfer fee is only a part of the cost and that its foolish to assume a "free transfer" is cheaper than an expensive one just because there is no transfer fee. Its the overall cost for the player that matters.

Pogba is apparently asking for 500K per week, add a huge sign on bonus on that (25M) and you are basically paying the same money as for Grealish, or a bit more. Assuming he gets what he is asking for that is. Even if he gets a bit less, its still in the same ballpark.

Mbappe is apparently (if reports are true) being offered around 600k per week, + a 60M sign on bonus. Total cost around 250M for 6 years. It may be a good deal if you can afford it, but its certainly not free.
