in case anyone's keeping score, the "haaland to madrid is already signed for 2 years now" lady on twitter is now saying city are leading the race.

Lol and they call Fabrizio Romano a tap-in merchant. At least he knows how to do it.

It’s being paid at €0.01 per goal though.Barcelona have just concluded a €280m deal over 4 years with Spotify.
Ground now going to be called Spotify Camp Nou to go along with shirt sponsorship.
Not sure if it can go towards Haaland but its a lot of money nevertheless
Totally agree with this. I think every single player at the club, with the possible exception of Liam Delap, would be delighted to see Haaland come in. Our payers have negotiated their own packages. I don't think Stones was upset when Grealish came in on a higher salary and I don't think KDB would be upset if Haaland came in on a higher salary. The players know how it works. Don't forget a player package includes lots of other elements including signing on bonuses, image rights etc. It is also affected by the transfer fee and contractual situation. Haaland's basic might actually be the same as our top earners. I suspect they wouldn't care much one way or another.I always see something like this regarding money and it absolutely boggles my mind every time. Who cares. We're talking about grown adults who are millionaires. Do you really think they care that someone might rake in an extra million or 2 than them over the span of a year? And if they would care I'd seriously question their mental makeup.
Here's how I look at it. City create a fuck load of chances but finishing can be lacking. Bringing in a striker who has the killer instinct in front of goal that can finish some of those chances would be huge. It means scoring more goals which usually means more wins. Which in turn means if you're winning usually when time comes players will get rewarded with better contracts thus earning them more money making the original point of another player making a little bit more money in the beginning irrelevant.
On top of that we're talking about a world class level striker. Yeah he's going to be a top earner at the club. That's how every sport works. The QB's in the NFL are 9 times out of 10 the top paid players at every team, why? Because that is the one position that controls the whole game. You have a good one? You bet you're going to be paying over the top for them because you know without them you're fucked.
Even Delap. If he holds his mind in place he'll learn from the best striker in the world. He's 19! Imagine the beast he can turn out to be.Totally agree with this.
