Better still, take them all with a big pinch of salt and believe it only when he holds up the sky blue shirt. I’ve been around long enough to learn most ITK talk is just that: talk.

The club didn't go that far, they just wouldn't confirm or deny it (which is usually an indicator)

I suspect it was Craig Hope's story as his name ran first and if Jack Gaughan had got it out of City, the rest of the pack would have had it shared between them.

on the podcast Gaughan said hope came to him saying he's received info from several different sources and gaughan replied by saying he's received the same info from a few other sources so he felt comfortable going with the story. apparently there were 5-6 different sources around europe.

Ah, the old classic, I've heard the same story from my own sources...

Thanks for confirming Hope came to the table with it, because he is right in with Newcastle and Amanda Staveley, who visited City just before the story broke.

I thought I might be misremembering so gave it another listen, he says they pieced the story together from 5-6 different sources but didn't say hope came to him, basically said they worked on it together.

Yeah they said i;ve heard this and i've heard that, enough to piece it together.

Also, wouldn't any potential Haaland announcement run concurrent with a Pep extension or be announced soon after? Highly doubt Haaland will make up his mind before he has a concrete answer on Pep's future. If Pep extends, I think an official Haaland announcement will follow shortly after.
