Erling Haaland

hope you're not talking about them battering Armenia..

It's just my opinion. If he's not getting service behind the lines(which he'll hardly get in the league with us) then he's marked out of games far too often. Doesn't have the technical ability to drop deep and spray the ball out to wingers, create overloads, etc..
C'mon fella, let's keep it real on here...or like they say where I'm from "are you fuckin' nuts or what?"...

It's just my take on him. I've said it before and been slated. I've also said if he does come, I hope that he proves me completely wrong and lights it up. I just don't see 'it' more often that not when I watch him- and at this point I've watched him quite a bit. Certainly not to make him the biggest earner in the entire league.

I posted this about a week ago on here...it was a response to Haaland playing against a low block...read what I say about not using inverted wide men up top, especially Sterling...then watch today's game...you'll understand that I know "just a little bit"...Haaland is a generational talent plain and simple...a huge, strong pure finisher with an intense hunger to score...you can have an opinion, but its not one of the those debatable topics...I would put you in a minority of well below 1%...there is not a team on the planet who would not take him aboard...

"I understand what you are saying but what you are overlooking is the difficulty we face having to be perfect in the box with basically all our entries being on the ground...with a striker of Haaland's stature you add the element of a legitimate aerial threat...we don't get the type of stoppage time goal Kane got against us by him simply rising over a defender and finishing...we tend to score well crafted goals but not many "sudden" goals resulting from the work of a natural poacher...also earlier in the year pep went away from using inverted wingers, a lefty on the right and a righty on the left and we got on a roll,,,its so much more difficult breaking down low blocks when your outside men have to consistently turn inside into the block of defenders to get on their dominant foot...Mahrez is the only consistent exception which goes to show just how great of a season he has had...Sterling is no longer consistently effective off the left because his pace and space are negated by these deep lying blocks...on the right he can take on the outside defender beat him to the endline and then make a pass into the box or carry along the endline which is so much more difficult to defend against...Its why Foden does so much damage against a low block when he plays on the left...I would hope Pep goes back to using a righty on the right and a lefty on the left against the low blocks, with the exception of Mahrez who seems to be effective regardless..."

I agree The team attack pattern will become different when a true striker join this team, still not convinced he will be huge difference maker. The opposite team will not even trying to attack at all, 10 men on the box all the time it will be not only a weaker team but also a top team playing like this against City.

Is Haaland is good enough facing this scenario against a well organised team with a a higher defense quality in the best league in the world in each every week? Like i said it's remain to be seen, we can only found out after he actually joining and start playing for us.
Is Haaland good enough? Unequivocally YES!!!!!!!

Have to agree with you mate, watched a lot of haaland and he is still very raw and far from the finished product. The people who seem to think he will come and we will automatically dominate and win every trophy are in for a bit of a shock. Look how Chelsea struggle with lukaku, United with ronaldo etc.

Kane is the best fit for us but sadly we seem to have moved on.
You have not watched a lot of haaland if you're comparing him to lukaku mate I absolutely guarantee you that

When we played them, every time the ball went near him you could see everyone was concerned. Both their goals were assists from him. He will terrify this league.

There was one moment where the ball was played up to him he took it perfectly out of his feet and Diaz bounced off him and ended up on the floor. He has got some strength to bully defenders.

Whisper it softly, softly.

Real Madrid are clear that signing Kylian Mbappe is their priority this summer, and bringing in Erling Haaland is an option that will be explored if it's possible.
